At the forefront of a rising tide of violence brough on by Galbadia's war declaration os a SeeD cadet named Squall Leonhart. Serious to a fault, Squall has earned himself the reputation of being a lone wolf. A chance encounter with the free-spirited Rinoa Heartilly, however, turns his universe upside sown. Having thrived on discipline, Squall finds Rinoa's carefree attitude fascinating. Yet there is no time to ponder these thoughts, for the job of dealing with the sorceress behind Galbadia's irrational hostility has fallen to SeeD and Squall.
FF8 isn't my favorite in the seris but it's still a good game. I guess because it's too far off of the original, ya know, it's got all the technology like cars and floting Gardens. The last battle is the longest battle I've ever encounted, it took me almost two hours just to beat the finla boss in all of it's 5 forms. Also the GF formation is kinda different. Instead of having MP ot use up on summons, the GFs (Guardina Forces) have thier own HP and you can summon them as much as you want as long as they don't lose their HP. During the wait it takes to summon, the GF's HP replaces the character's, thusly when you get hit, the GF takes the damage instead of your character.
