The silent protaginist of the game. Strong and outgoing he bumps inot Marle at the fair and escorts her around. Later he learns that she is really the princess. He is then accused of kidnapping her (which he didn't) and put to exicution. But he gets away and starts jumping all over time to save the world. Just the usual stuff a teenage guy does.

Marle, also known as Princess Nadia, meets Crono by pure accident at a fair. Th eother main character of the game upbeat and not very modest about her royalty, in fact she doesn't even like it. She doesn't like the shut up life of a princess so she joins Crono on his "quest".
Lucca

Crono's best friend for years. She's quite the brainiac and likes to build stuff. In fact she evens fixes Robo up. Although, unlike Marle, she is very modest about her smarts. Along with her father, Tabin, she builds the "Telepods" that send Marle into the past by accident.

A cave woman from the 65,000,000 years in the past. She is the leader of her tribe and often finds herself fighting for survival aganist the Reptites. Crono and his crew go inot the past and help her defeat them.

Hometime: 2300AD
Magic Type: none, but his Lasers can inflict dark
Found by Crono, Marle, and Lucca in a rusted heep in the future. Lucca fixes him up and he is greatful and joins their group. When you first get him, it's the only time in the game when you have four people in your party which is why you end up at the End of Time.
Magus

Magic Type: Dark
Origanally Janus form the Kingdom of Zeal. He got sucked into a gate and trained by Ozzie in 600AD. Since then he has become Magus and seeks his revenge aganist Lavos for the dissapearence fo his sister Schala. After he defeats Lavos he begins his search over time for his missing sister.
Frog

Origanally a warrior named Glenn, he was cursed and turned into a frog by Magus after he killed Glenn's best friend, Cyrus. He seeks his revenge aganist Magus for what he did and hopes to put Cyrus' spirit to rest at last.
Lavos
The being that transends all time. It was summoned to the earth 65,000,000 years ago and is awakened in the year 1999 and destroys the earth. The antaginoist, in case you haven't noticed. And the thing that everyone wants to kill.
